Liam Aims to Raise £1750.00 with Charity Auction

Liam Beviss, Ware resident and fundraiser commented, “So I thought in a moment of madness that I would like to raise money for a fantastic charity by running 26.219 miles at the 2014 London Marathon on Sunday April 13th and running 500 miles through winter in preparation.   Then my father, Bev, who owns the Old Cross Tavern Pub (a Hertford institution!) suggested hosting a special charity auction called ‘Something for Everyone’ to further support the cause which I thought was great.  We have all been touched by a friend or family member who has been diagnosed with breast cancer so I decided to take up the challenge of raising funds for the charity Breast Cancer Campaign that funds world class research projects directed at providing the best potential benefits to patients.   I was very impressed with the work of the Breast Cancer Campaign.  Thank you so much to everyone who has donated so far and I really hope to see the Pub full on the 3rd of April.”

Karen Lambert, Challenge Events Manager, Breast Cancer Campaign said: “We’re delighted that Liam has chosen to fundraise for Breast Cancer Campaign and hope that Hertford and Ware residents can support the auction and marathon efforts. We fund world-class breast cancer research with the greatest potential to save and improve lives, bringing together the brightest minds to share knowledge and produce better, quicker results.  We do this because we passionately believe we owe it to every women affected by breast cancer to explore every avenue to overcome and outline this disease – in our lifetime.”

The Breast Cancer Campaign is focused on research directed towards finding cures for Breast Cancer.
