Celebrating the #ReturntoRugby 2021 campaign, Jamie George visits Hertford RFC with special delivery
To celebrate the return of grassroots Rugby, Jamie George visited Hertford Rugby Football Club (HRFC) on Thursday 29th April 2021, as an ambassador for Mitsubishi Motors UK who sponsor the England Rugby Team, with a generous donation of over £1,000 of new balls for the youth teams. Jamie started his rugby at Hertford, and is a Professional Rugby Player for Saracens, England and The British & Irish Lions.
The England hooker took time to meet players and the club’s platinum sponsor City Brickwork together with other sponsors who include: Life in Cache, DSCO Chartered Accountants and SWCO Financial Planning. He spoke to the youth team and fans about his passion for the sport and starting at Hertford RFC.
Jamie George said, “To celebrate the return of grassroots Rugby, I teamed up with Mitsubishi Motors to deliver balls to a few of my local Rugby clubs, including Hertford Rugby Club – where it all began!”
David Suckling commented, “We were delighted that Jamie came back to visit and continues to be so passionate about his childhood club. The children and adult players alike were thrilled to chat about Rugby strategy, skills and ask Jamie for any top tips about getting to the England team. We would like to thank Jamie and Mitsubishi for the generous donation of balls. We wish The British and Irish Lions team every success in South Africa in June.”
